The BADGER has always believed that the Arts in all their expressions are healing and beneficial to all human beings. In the same way the artists are healers and need to find support and appreciation.
The Badger for the Arts is a new Association to protect the Arts in all their expressions, as well as the the artists in need especially when they are most vulnerable, in their old age.

Our No Profit Association will look after the artistic properties of the artists as well as organize events and exhibitions, it will oversee the sales of their artwork and/or objects in order to support them in life and donate to the charities chosen after their deaths.
​
These goals can be best reached by a No Profit Organization that will benefit from The Badger expertise and will be able to receive grants and donations, it will receive inheritances from people who either want to support the arts, or from the artists themselves who desire to see their work exhibited and promoted.

Crediamo profondamente che le arti e gli artisti siano portatori di guarigione e benessere, per questo motivo nasce THE BADGER for the Arts, un'Associazione senza scopo di lucro che si occupa di far conoscere artisti poco noti nel mercato internazionale. IL MONDO DI EDY UCCELLINI SCHILLER
La prima artista a cui THE BADGER for the Arts dedica la sua attenzione è Edy Uccellini Schiller.
Sapevo chi ero, Conoscevo le mie capacità e i miei limiti. Forse non ho raggiunto nell’arte tutti i traguardi disponibili, ma c’erano molte altre cose che volevo fare oltre alla pittura.
Queste frasi raccontano l’approccio delicato, quasi sommesso alla pittura che Edy mostra nei dipinti esposti qui sotto.

Dalla sua intensa vita spirituale e culturale, all’amore per la natura, dal suo impegno a favore degli altri, alla sua curiosità intellettuale.
​
Edy ha attraversato il XIX secolo con completa libertà di osservazione, movimento e pensiero, non contro qualcuno o qualcosa, ma verso una reale indipendenza.
​
Non sembra esserci lotta nel suo lavoro, ma una facilità preziosa che si irradia in ogni dipinto.
​
Il suo amore per la musica, la sua intensa vita spirituale, il suo coinvolgimento in opere benefiche, l’aiuto prestato durante catastrofi naturali hanno lasciato un’impronta nel suo lavoro che esprime la sua bontà e nobiltà d’animo, doti rare.

I knew who I was, I knew my skills and my limits, perhaps I have not achieved all I could have in my art, but I wanted to do many other things in my life besides painting.
​
Edy Uccellini Schiller was born in a poor family in the northern region of Lombardia, just south of Milan, close to the river Po', the longest in Italy. Her love for this region is documented especially by one painting of the typical buildings you can find so close to the river, semi hidden by the tall poplar trees that seem to embrace the houses, vacant of people.
The entire landscape is animated, vibrant with life and action, even if you cannot see people or animals, the land itself seems to be speaking, beckoning us to enter the painting and walk under the trees, open the doors and finally inhabit the small white dwellings.
This enticement, this subtle invitation to partake of her world is present in all her work, one painting of a simple room with its furnishings gives us a glimpse of order, pleasantness, above all it hints at the simple, yet firm and solid femininity of the artist.

Here is a woman who has crossed the 20th century with complete freedom of observation, of movement and thought, not against someone or something, but towards real independence.
There seems to be no struggle in her work, just an ease that shines with beauty.
The frequent musical instruments present in her work play harmonious music, so that we can leave behind the noisy chaos of daily life and drink from the pure source of existence.
Certainly her intense spiritual life, her involvement with charity, her hands on work after natural disasters such as earthquakes have left their impression on her work that also expresses goodness and a noble heart, such as it is rare to find.
